WHO WE ARE

WHO WE ARE: The Mobile Crisis Response Team (MCRT) was created to provide crisis intervention and short-term support to Nevada families dealing with a behavioral or mental health crisis. MCRT diverts roughly 85% of children from Emergency Room visits during a crisis and provides short-term counseling and case management until we can connect families with long-term providers and peer supports. MCRT is here to help. In urban regions, we can see your family in our office, in your home, by telehealth or in the community. Rural regions operate entirely by telehealth and by phone.

HOW WE HELP

MCRT supports youth and families of youth under the age of 18 showing signs of behavioral or mental health issues that pose a threat to the child’s stability within their home, school or community, including but not limited to:

  • Anger
  • Self-Injury
  • School Problems
  • Suicidal or homicidal thoughts or behavior
  • Extreme parent/child conflict
  • Peer conflict such as bullying
  • Seeing or hearing things
  • Depression/Anxiety

WHAT WE DO

MCRT responds to youth and families of youth in crisis, over the phone, via telehealth or in-person, in order to reduce emergency room visits and ensure everyone receives the proper care.

Telephone Triage

Trained mental health professionals are available to evaluate, prevent or resolve a crisis and work with the family to decide if a referral will be made to a community resource or one of our qualified specialists.

Crisis Response

If our crisis team (clinician and a case manager) is needed we will dispatch to the family’s location of choice, via telehealth or in-person.

Crisis Stabilization

MCRT offers short-term assistance and case management services inside and outside of the home through a Child and Family Team process. We also provide community-based services the youth and family can easily access if a crisis should arise.

After Care

Follow-up and referral care through community partners is available to the youth and their family. MCRT is here to ensure a smooth transition to any support and services that may be necessary.

GOALS

  • Reduce emergency room visits due to
a behavioral or mental health crisis
